Tropical Fruits
Our Tropical range of fruits includes Banana, Mango, Pomegranates, Litchis, Passion Fruit, Papaya, Watermelon, Kiwi Fruit, Dragon Fruit and Pineapples. We regard ourselves as custodians of the land. High emphasis is placed on, Enhancing microbial soil life, Minimizing the use of chemical fertilizer and Promoting bio-diversity.
From the fertile soils and Sub tropical climate of Limpopo and KZN, we bring you only the best quality produce. Believing in sustainable farming and driven by a love and passion for what we do, Onefresh is known for its nutritious papayas, pineapples, bananas and the sweet flavour of our mangoes and litchis, all part of a sub-tropical basket of quality fruits.
Onefresh applies a strict Quality Control System to ensure that all products are handled and packed to the clients’ detailed specifications. All our products are picked by hand by employees, packed on-farm, thereby ensuring minimum bruising due to handling.
Mango
The main variety planted is Sensation because of it’s exceptional high yield as well as it’s flavourful taste and eye catching deep purple reddish colour. other available varieties are Tommy Atkins, Keitt, Heidi and Kent.
Pomegranate
South African pomegranates are highly regarded for their good eating quality. Our pomegranate varieties are the “Wonderful” and Acco cultivar. The South African climate is suitable to produce high quality product and most of our pomegranate are farmed in the Western province of South Africa.
We start with the Acco variety in February, and in mid-March we switch over to the Wonderful variety. Apart from selling our pomegranates locally to retailers, we also ship to Europe, the UK, Middle East, Africa and SEA.
Banana
We offer a year-round supply of conventional, organic and Fairtrade bananas. Our varieties includes Cavendish, Grand Nain and Asda. South Africa produced approximately 471,000 tons of bananas annually and export to Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Production is predominantly in the Limpopo province where climate allows an all year round production. Our bananas are high quality and production and packaging practices ensures that quality are preserved from harvest to final consumption.
Papaya
Papaya is not only sweet and delicious, it is loaded with various vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This super fruit is a powerhouse packed with health benefits, available for 12 months of the year.
Pineapple
We produce pineapples throughout the whole year. Onefresh prides itself in producing pineapples of the highest standard and quality. Our farm produce pineapples that are recognised both internationally and locally as a premium brand offering outstanding quality and exquisite taste. Our produce is distributed to national markets as well as being exported to the Middle East, Asia and Europe throughout the year. We are responsible for growing the finest examples of the ‘Queen’ variety/cultivar of pineapples.
Litchi
The most common cultivar in South Africa. Fruits are in loose, pendent clusters, strawberry-red,
sometimes rose, pinkish or amber, and some types tinged with green. Most are aromatic, oval, heart-
shaped or nearly round, have a thin, leathery, rough or minutely warty skin. These litchis grow best in a subtropical climate with high summer temperatures, low and frost-free winter temperatures.
Watermelon
Our watermelons are seedless and production are from November to April. With their firm flesh, these watermelons have a sweet, crunchy taste and are compact in size and shape. These watermelons are exceptional for eating and processing. They are destined for major retailers in South Africa and abroad.
